Some Commonly Asked Questions
Can I approach any Prayer Chaplain for prayer?
Yes. Any Prayer Chaplain will pray with you.
For how long should we pray?
Generally your prayer time with a Prayer Chaplain will be about three to five minutes. We ask you keep your prayer request brief, as you would when requesting prayer during the “High Watch.”
Will the Prayer Chaplain follow up with me on my prayer request?
No, once the prayer is completed, divine order is in process. You may approach a Prayer Chaplain with the results of your prayer if you wish, but please remember, Prayer Chaplains do not give counsel or advice.
What are “Prayer Chaplain calls?”
Prayer Chaplain calls are monthly calls initiated by a Chaplain to ask if you wish to pray.
Will the same PrayerChaplain call each month?
No. The prayer calls for each Prayer Chaplain are selected randomly each month.
May I call a Prayer Chaplain at home?
No, if you wish to contact a Prayer Chaplain for prayer, leave a message at the church number.
What if I need spiritual counseling?
Contact Reverend Tom at the church number. He can provide spiritual counseling.
If I pray with a Prayer Chaplain can I submit prayer requests to the Prayer Box?
Yes, you are encouraged to do both.
May I pray with a Prayer Chaplain anywhere in the church or only in the sanctuary?
The Prayer Chaplains will always be available following the service in the sanctuary. However, you may pray with a Prayer Chaplain in any public area of the church.
